Several works over the years have grappled with the theme of war. As the daughter of a WWII US Veteran, those stories were hidden from me until I discovered my father’s journal in the attic many years ago. This became the series War Diaries, documenting his time as a bomber pilot in North Africa fighting Mussolini and Hitler. This was first exhibited at the Pilzen City Gallery celebrating the liberation of Czechoslovakia by US troops in 1947.
